This is Bert Blyleven’s last trade.  A year after his 1987 World Series win with the Twins, Blyleven was traded to his boyhood home of Southern California.  Bert spent the last 3 seasons of his career with the Angels (missing 1991 with a rotator cuff injury).  Bert attempted to come back for the 1993 season with the Twins, but did not make the squad, so he retired.
Not much to say about this tree, as it is actually the tail end of his first trade.  The Players Traded For Themselves tag has proven itself useful once again.  Next week, we’ll feature the other 2011 inductee, Roberto Alomar.
