Chuck Knoblauch broke into the majors in 1991, winning RoY and the World Series with the Minnesota Twins. In 1997, Knoblauch was traded to the Yankees in exchange for four players and cash. Though he won 3 more WS with the Yankees, his much publicized throwing errors eventually saw him moved from 2B to LF and DH before retiring after spending the 2003 season with the Royals.
In 1989, Rickey Henderson was sent back to the Oakland A’s by the New York Yankees, completing the cycle that saw Rickey traded for himself.
