Paul Hines won the Triple Crown in 1878 with the Providence Grays, the first man to do so.  He hit .358 with 4 HR and 50 RBI.  That just shows how much the game has changed in 130+ years.  For reference, there are 20 instances of pitchers having ≥ 4 HR in a season since 1901.
As was with the Jackie Robinson portion of the Bobby Thompson trade, the red line indicates that the player refused to report for his new team and the trade was nullified.
One last note, Hines was teammates with Old Hoss Radbourn on the 1882 Providence Grays.
